About Consolidate IT – The Complete 10 GbE Infrastructure
Consolidate-IT is distributing a complete 10 GbE (virtual) infrastructure, with experience and expertise in Networking, IP storage, HPC solutions and virtualisation. They work with business experts throughout Europe in promoting the new effective infrastructure, based upon 10GbE technology. The IT Department needs more advanced technologies that basically can deliver more for a lower price. The business today is looking for an ROI, to be compatible in the current economy. faster SSD drives, increase the performance up to 10 X, while the cost can be reduced 90 %. Consolidate-IT supports the partners on how a 10 GbE virtual infrastructure can reduce the operational costs and increase the performance. Partners can help their customers with solutions that do deliver more speed for a lower price, like Consolidate-IT recently demonstrated at the CEBIT. Consolidate-IT has their HQ in the Netherlands and offices in London and Koln.

Radware Significantly Reduces Network Downtime for Hooters Restaurants
With 250,000 network visits per week, Radware’s AppDirector and LinkProof solutions enable
Hooters to maintain data centre efficiency for more than 400 restaurants
April, 19, 2010. Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), the leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking, today announced that long-term customer, Hooters of America, Inc., the franchisor and operator of Hooters restaurants, has strengthened its data centre bandwidth capabilities by upgrading to Radware’s latest next-generation application delivery controller (ADC), AppDirector running on the On Demand Switch (ODS) platform, and its multi-WAN load balancer, LinkProof. By deploying both solutions, Hooters has gained greater network efficiency for its corporate operations and business applications.
A globally recognised brand with more than 400 locations, it was critical for Hooters to have powerful, secure solutions in place for its ISP and web farm connections. In order to satisfy the needs of a vast corporate web site and applications network, which registers 250,000 visits per week, Hooters enlisted the help of Radware’s AppDirector and LinkProof products to provide bandwidth management and redundancy that was necessary to support the data centre with assurances against network downtime. The combination of both solutions resulted in the removal of any single point of failure, and continues to allow for superior business continuity for the company.
“In order to prevent against disruptive network outages, we needed to find an ideal way for our Web and application servers to enjoy redundancy, as well as give us a much needed maintenance window where we could take a server offline without interrupting service,” said Ryan Pierce, Network Administrator, Hooters of America, Inc. “As a long time Radware customer, we’ve been very satisfied with the performance and capabilities of their solutions in keeping our network downtime to an absolute minimum.”
Operating an enterprise-class point-of-sale system, which governs all aspects of the restaurant’s control and payment processing, Hooters looked to Radware to operate three web farms via the upgraded AppDirector devices and load balance three ISP’s across the LinkProof devices for bandwidth management and redundancy.
By leveraging Radware’s comprehensive AppDirector on ODS, Hooters has increased SSL acceleration and improved scalability for faster delivery of applications over its IP network. AppDirector uses Layer 4-7 intelligence for optimised server performance, and is powered by Radware’s OnDemand Switch platform, which provides a “pay-as-you-grow” cost model that guarantees short-term and long-term savings on CAPEX and OPEX.
Hooters deployment of Radware’s LinkProof provides uninterrupted network experiences achieved through bypassing network bottlenecks. This allows network administrators to easily manage the multiple ISP links the company operates, which enables them to quickly react and avoid potential network issues during peak and non-peak hours of traffic.
“As a popular global franchise, Hooters cannot afford to have its network interrupted by disruptions that negatively impact its daily operations,” said Bob Simpson, Vice-President Sales Southern US, Radware. “Their stores rely on its data centre for communications, reporting, and payment processing – and without these services online, its stores would run less efficiently; causing loss of business and stress on staff. The goal in deploying Radware’s AppDirector and LinkProof solutions was to ensure high availability of these mission critical applications – which we can proudly say is being accomplished.”
AppDirector and LinkProof solutions are integrated components of the Radware’s Business-Smart Data Centre strategy, which is based on an approach to offer a range of innovative capabilities inclusive of pay-as-you-grow procurement models and a series of compelling ‘on demand’ platforms.

Application and Cloud Service Performance
Quickly Navigate from Performance Dashboard to Resolution with New Version of Observer Platform
April 12, 2010 – Network Instruments, a worldwide leader in network and application performance management, today announced that its Observer performance monitoring platform now provides new reporting and performance tracking features to address service delivery and visibility challenges caused by cloud-based and multi-tiered applications. Further, features have been added to improve baseline accuracy, provide flexibility in storing sensitive data long term, and address financial sector needs.
Performance Dashboards
Observer Reporting Server’s new performance dashboards provide quick and concise displays of mission-critical application and service health. These modules can be configured to present up-to-the-minute updates on VoIP systems, cloud services, application response time, server health, MS Exchange performance and even URL-based performance reports from service providers. Network, application and infrastructure metrics can be displayed in context of one another for quick performance assessments.
“When managing cloud performance, determining the source of delay and having proof of the cause are critical,” said Douglas Smith, co-founder and president of Network Instruments. “With our new performance dashboards, network teams can quickly navigate to expert analysis to pinpoint the cause as being internal, their internet provider, or the cloud service provider. Additionally, when working with third-parties, Observer decreases resolution time by providing evidence to rule out variables and pinpoint the actual error.”
New Observer Platform Features
In addition to performance dashboards, Observer offers several new features that expand its position as a leading performance management solution.
· Selective GigaStorT Storage: Ensure compliance when storing packet-level data long term
· Baseline Drift Elimination: Lock baselines to purge issues of drift from analysis
· Enhanced Financial Application Support: Track trade-level errors and performance statisticswhether trade-by-trade or over multiple days
Selective GigaStor Storage
With the newest release, GigaStor retrospective network analysis solutions now provide selective storage capabilities for data compliance and security, which can be set to prevent the storage of sensitive payload content such as VoIP calls or PCI data. Network managers can use this functionality to exclude data by application or IP address, and leave performance metrics for the traffic intact.
“Traditionally, our customers have demanded the ability to store everything traversing the wire, but for some keeping sensitive data can be a policy violation,” said Smith. “GigaStor now provides options for customers to store only what is necessary or required by the organisation or government regulations.”
Baseline Drift Elimination
While baselines are the starting point for establishing performance thresholds and measuring deviation, baseline drift can skew measurements and provide erroneous results. With Observer Reporting Server, users can lock baselines to stop issues from being hidden by baseline drift. In addition, alarms can be set to immediately notify network teams when performance metrics have reached a marginal or critical level.
Targeting the Financial Sector
The latest release includes components designed to specifically benefit financial organisations, which have particular monitoring requirements that differ greatly from other markets. With multi-million dollar trades occurring every second, financial organisations need extremely detailed analysis. Network Instruments has enhanced the details provided in FIX analysis within GigaStor, allowing network teams to analyse successful and canceled trades, verify the execution price, and more.
Product Pricing
The Observer Reporting Server appliance begins at £21,250. The GigaStor with expanded FIX support and selective storage begins at £14,450 for the 2 TB two-port configuration.
